Christmas 2010!
Written by seasonalhome on Sunday, December 12th, 2010
I hope you enjoy the 2010 creativity at The Seasonal Home. The goal this year was to run the color “lime green” throughout the house and different themes.
Two reminders…. click on any photo for a larger view & check out the music video (that goes with these photos)… also in the Christmas category!
Enjoy the Creativity!

Thanks for posting the pics and the video!
If you ever sell other DVDs or books, I would love to see some tips on the ‘mechanics’ of your decorating. For example, what do you use to hang garland on your mantel? Or above your doorways? And do you let the garland hang loose or do you attach it to the wall with something (when hanging on the sides of the doorway)? How did you hang your toy-themed garland above the mirror?
On your living room tree…how did you secure the large house in the tree? Or whenever you use animated ornaments, do you secure them any special way?
The beautiful wreath in the kitchen…what did you use to hang it?
Do you decorate your garland before or after you hang it? If it’s before, how do you determine where it’s going to hang (do you do like a dry run first)?
Sorry for all the questions, but I think it would make a great DVD or e-book to sell. There are lots of tips out there on decorating, but not much on the logistics of it all! 🙂
Thanks again for sharing your talent!
Melissa
Hi Melissa,
You’ve given me a lot of food for thought for the near future. I have been doing this for so many years that I don’t realize how many steps I know by heart, which I could share. The mechanics of decorating are very important and I will make it a point to put all of those details out there, in some form this year. Thank you for taking the time to submit your suggestions! 🙂
Happy New Year!
