All so beautiful! Where on earth did you find your tree stands???
Hi Cat. Thank you so much for your nice comment. I made those tree stands (instructions on the blog: http://seasonalhome.wordpress.com/2012/11/28/christmas-2012-the-year-of-the-new-puppy/) for very little cost and even less effort. The drum tree stand cost was apx. $20 and that’s because the chicken wire was $10! LOL And the cupcake cost was around $7.00. Let me know if you have any questions about the directions.
Merry Christmas! Eileen
Happy Holidays to you and yours!
I love the new puppy!! Once again your decorations are fabulous!
Where did you get the toy soldiers/nutcrackers used in your outdoor display?(I believe it was the 2010 video/photo’s)
Thanks for your creativety.

Hi Chris, Thanks for your nice compliments! 🙂
The soldiers came from JoAnn’s etc. Craft Store (2011 season, unfortunately). But if you don’t mind a suggestion, you may want to check out this inexpensive alternative: http://www.collectionsetc.com/Product/metal-holiday-tin-soldier-wall-decoration.aspx/_/Ntt-soldiers. They’re not as large on their own (45″ tall), but placed on a drum, they could be and you could easily make a flatter drum out of a styrofoam sheet, wood, etc. Good luck & Merry Christmas!
Wow Eileen…
So very pretty! I was wondering, do you remember where you found that beautiful lighted red berry garland from the mantel that year? Thanks, Dawn
Thank You Dawn! 🙂 The red berry garland, on the mantel in the 2012 Christmas video, is from either Michaels or Hobby Lobby. Actually, it is a plain greenery garland that I added a berry garland to. You can also accomplish this look by adding berry picks to your garland. That method allows you the freedom to add them in, after you’ve decorated the garland so they can be seen and aren’t not hiding behind bows or ornaments. It’s a smarter way to decorate. The red berry garland around the front door was purchased at Hobby Lobby and they have it again this year, however, I recommend using a coupon or waiting for the Christmas to go on sale, which happens every other week I believe. Thanks for your question! Eileen 🙂
