Finally… it’s time for Easter, because
I’ve completed my “to do” list!
1) Fun, simple & inexpensive boxes (with just a little bit of Easter Bunny LOVE inside)
are hopping along to my kids who live out of town ~
2) We’ve taken our own (thrifty) Easter Photos,
despite the fact that SOMEone (little) was not being very helpful (LOL) ~
3) The Seasonal Home is festive… inside & out… with decorations that have held up well, through the years!
I made these bunnies 3 years ago & they have weathered great!
{my original pattern is in my SHOP, if you’ve got 30 minutes & are feeling a little bit crafty}
The Front Porch is very simple this year because
I’m saving up some of my energy for the Christmas theme I’ve come up with for 2015! 😉
LOVE this 3-tiered metal stand I just picked up at a yard sale!
And finally, the kitchen is ready too and
I can’t wait to enjoy our holiday meal together!
I used simple grosgrain ribbon to attach little mini (boxwood) wreaths to the chair backs
The wreaths are yet another 90% off post-Christmas sale item that I found at Dillard’s Dept. Store.
They look great in Spring as well as Christmas.
3 beautiful, preserved Boxwood wreaths – only $4.20!
I’ve had these Hallmark Spring Ornaments for years,
but I think this has to be the cutest way I’ve ever thought to display them!
Recognize my white Hydrangea bunnies from the front porch last Easter?
This year, they are gracing my table.
And I think I’ve been using this floral centerpiece every year since I made it ~ 10 years ago!
I scooped up the pretty pastel tablecloth at the same yard sale, where I found the 3-tiered stand (above).
I think my favorite thing is the annual challenge of re-purposing my seasonal decorations
as well as the fun of finding something new, for 90% off, or at a yard sale.
Re-purposing & finding Super-Bargains really keeps me on budget!
More thriftiness: I easily pulled-in the tablecloth’s pastel colors
by combining 3 outdoor chair cushions & 2 pillows from the bedroom on my outdoor/indoor bench …
I had no problem hanging my “SPRING” (blocks) sign, below my window,
by attaching its fishing line hangers to suction cup hooks I placed on my window sill…
I love this interchangeable sign & have had for years.
It’s thrifty to just change the blocks, spelling out another season’s sentiment…
My trusty cake plate stands are, once again, called into duty
to give lightweight cardboard houses more interest or to spotlight my color theme, by stacking them…
Did you spot the spring paper accents I’m using?
Cut shapes out of scrapbook paper to provide yourself with colorful accents
that can be added to any vignette for a POP of color!
I really enjoy decorating the window sill over my sink.
Even with a blind in the window, there’s still room for a fun seasonal theme!
And when you’re doing dishes, it’s really nice to have something “HAPPY” to look at. 🙂
And now, you know where those dollar store candy-filled jars ended up. LOL
4) I’m hoping to find time to work on my very first Easter Tour video too, this year.
Wish me luck!!!!
If I do and you are one of The Seasonal Home’s YouTube subscribers or have signed up to follow this website,
of course… you’ll be the first to know!
In the meantime, I hope you have a Blessed &
Happy Easter!

Love your Easter tour. Everything is so gorgeous (as always).
I went to three Michaels stores and not one of them had the cake plates with the bunnies. Niot sure if our area did not carry them or if they sold out that fast.
Thanks for sharing your home and ideas again. I love it all. Your grandson is precious.
Have a Happy Easter.
Now I can’t wait to learn your Christmas theme
