Mother’s Day is

and below are a few unique gift ideas for you to consider
giving that special MOM in your life.
Whatever you plan to give MOM though, I’d like to make the suggestion
that you “complete” the gift.
My Mom is 91 and wants/needs nothing more than gift certificates to help her stay on budget.
However, I “complete” that gift by taking her to the store (the gift certificate came from) to spend it.
It’s a win-win because it’s time together & we always have fun playing while we’re there!
Can you tell where I got my “holiday spirit” from? LOL
Other ways to “complete” a gift…
1) If you give tech, appliance, etc. gift, read the directions, set it up and give her a quick “how to” lesson.
2) If you give a massage gift certificate, give her a little cash (to use as a tip) as a go-with.
3) If you give a car detailing, take it & have it done for her because there’s nothing more boring than waiting at a car wash facility.
Anyway, you get the idea.
Now, here’s a few unique gifts (links included where applicable) I found that may suit your MOM! 🙂
Something MEMORABLE from Personal Creations ($34.99), this is a timeless way to remember birthdays or special family moments!
It’s a thoughtful gift for MOM because it can tell her story.
Other features: Cotton canvas with polyester pillow, Zip-off cover (for hand washing ease), personalize with any 2 to 6 dates up to 8 characters each; for each date add any event up to 20 characters each, date colors will appear randomly rotating between: Blue, Yellow, Grey, Red, Green, Orange, measures 15Lx15″W.
Something HEALTHY from Shop to be Green ($36-150), a Globe Salt Lamp from the foothills of the Himalayan Mountains
will transform any space and gently clean the air
Something GREEN and (eventually) YUMMY available at most DIY stores is a square foot garden kit so MOM can plant her favorite summer veggies or herbs. This is especially great for condo or apt. dwelling MOMS because it is self-contained & doesn’t take up too much space (on the patio or balcony). They range in price from $80 to this $180 version from Target (photo features 2 planters). Don’t forget to “complete” the gift, by assembling this & adding the dirt so it’s ready to go! 🙂
Something for FIRST MOMS that you make yourself. I found the (one above) on Pinterest but it had no source (sorry). As you can see, however, it would be simple to make a towel, tee-shirt or one-sie version of this idea by dipping baby’s foot print in washable paint
OR
this Personalized Key Chain ($11.00) I found in an Etsy shop.
Mom will feel as though she has baby with her wherever she goes,
yet it doesn’t tie her down to finding something to wear with it, like a necklace would.
Of course, there’s a TON of gift ideas on line, but I wanted to get you started.
I shopped by searching GOOGLE for “Mother’s Day Gift”, under either the Images or Shopping Tab.
And if you search the same words on PINTEREST, you’ll find a lot of D.I.Y. ideas, which are always the most special!
Good luck and…
