With Spring around the corner, I always find myself shopping for new herb plants.
While in the store, it suddenly dawned on me that they are not only edible and delicious, but also fragrant & beautiful!
Plus, they’re green… perfect for St. Patrick’s Day too! LOL
But once I found this adorable tin HERBS sign,
there was no turning back…
I was inspired to create a thrifty & eco-friendly decoration for my Spring fireplace!
And because of the purple touches in this sign, a few purple flowers also made their way home.
At home, I looked around my own garden to see what else
might look nice in this Spring Green display.
I gathered up an old watering can & 2 of stone bunnies and was super happy
that Mother Nature had coated all 3 in a nice patina!
You’ll probably recognize these other accessories (from previous years):
- vintage farm window
- post-Christmas (90% off) mini preserved wreaths (thanks again Dillard’s Dept. Store!) which I hung on mini suction cups inside each window pane.
- garden hat
- hydrangea wreath
- natural mossy elements
- clay pots.
All I purchased (besides my plants @ 4 for $10) were the suction cups ($2) and $5.00 worth of purple ribbon.
And the best part is… afterwards, almost every item will bring more & lasting enjoyment outside.
So, I hope this eco-friendly & tasty herb garden inspires you to consider “Going Green” too,
because I think you’ll especially like the wonderful fragrance it creates in your home!
