Happy Fall & Halloween Everyone!
Sorry my posts have been less frequent but my life and work have kept me very busy lately.
And although I wish these blogging, Instagram & Facebook posts were my income source,
it’s strictly a passion so please bear with me as I try to balance it all. LOL
In this blog post, I’m excited to share with you my Dollar Tree find for Fall & Halloween – these orange plates…

When I spotted these, I knew they would be versatile and a great “seasonal filler”!
They can create backdrops to your decorations (like plate chargers, under dinner plates) or simply insert a PoP of color,
filling in spaces between your other seasonal design elements.
Check out how 6 inexpensive orange Dollar Tree plates (placed on plate stands) in my cabinets looked, without much else.
They really added a fun orange contrast to my black cabinets & the simplicity of this look made it easier to shift focus to another area because…

in between the cabinets is where I added my main Fall decorations ~
a Fall lighted house, tree & something I just treated myself to recently… a 3-tiered galvanized steel server.

{I’m looking forward to decorating this, every season & holiday, and as a food or beverage server at parties in between}
By the way, I’ve seen these all over the internet, but I bought mine from Pottery Barn
and they’re running a 30% off with free shipping promotion right now!

And here’s some close-up photos of what I chose to place inside the 3 tiers, so you can check out the details….

And I love how it all looks on my free table (CLICK HERE to read that post), alongside a fall tree & lighted house I had ~

On the kitchen table, I used my pumpkins & signs
as well as an orange burlap runner down the center.
Here it is that same runner from a previous year…

FOR HALLOWEEN…
You, too, can switch things up, from Fall to Halloween, by adding inexpensive BAT window (or vinyl) clings to the orange plates (they stick to the plates so easily!)

You can find them at the Dollar Tree most years, but also at craft stores and I even spotted a display of vinyl wall clings at Target today ~

You can also cut your own Halloween shapes out of black paper and adhere them to a plate using double-sided tape.
Because I loved the 3 Fall elements (a tree, house & server) together, I just changed them out for spookier versions…

Here’s some close-up photos for you to check out…

FYI: I found the cute white jack ‘o lantern at Wal-Mart yesterday for around $5.
I removed his corded light and just added a strand of battery-operated lights so I could display it in the center of the table.
The black & silver spider web table-cloth is nothing more than a couple of yards of fabric.

I hope you like and can use my budget-friendly ideas for keeping the basics the same
but changing out the other details to keep your seasonal decorating simple & easy.
Enjoy the Creativity!
