A “little” Fall & Halloween Inspiration for 2017!

Before I start this blog post, I’d like to apologize that my inspiration has been so sparse this year.

And hopefully, you will quickly forgive me when you see this year’s Christmas video. 😉

Honestly, I have had the craziest life over the past year, with 4 or 5 jobs… simultaneously..

plus, a Category 5 Hurricane that downed two 60 foot trees and took my electricity.

How’s this for attractive?!!!!

But finally…. some good news!

I was just offered a full-time position with a wonderful company (yay! I’ll finally have benefits!)

I wish I could say it will free up more time for decorating,

but I’ll probably just have to squeeze more hours into my day somehow… no worries! LOL

I do, however, post quick photos on INSTAGRAM several times a week because that fits best into my tight schedule.

So, if you haven’t joined INSTAGRAM yet, you should.

Not only is it loaded with inspirational seasonal & holiday photos you’ll thoroughly enjoy, but I’d love to see you there!

To make it easy for you, here’s the link to The Seasonal Home’s INSTAGRAM page:

My new job is not quite my bucket list-dream job but it is definitely a close second!

My dream job would actually be as a set decorator for Hallmark’s seasonal & holiday films.

Hey, a girl can dream! 🙂

And while we’re on the subject of Hallmark movies…

Are you as distracted as I am with their gnarly, right-out-of-the-storage-box Christmas garland

or fall leaves sprinkled underneath a completely green tree.

Ugh!  I can’t seem to ignore it!  LOL

Someday, I might send them a note about it or maybe offer to help them out (ha ha) but in the meantime,

I’m finally decorated (a little) for Fall & Halloween and ready to share it with you, my virtual friends!

In the kitchen, I bought in layered tabled linens and a trending color… aqua!

I was inspired by this cute, inexpensive fall sign I found at Hobby Lobby.

I think it goes great with orange – see what you think….

For Halloween, I think I was feeling a little mischievous this year!

My sweet little Lilly Grace seems to like it…

So that’s it… short & sweet, but I hope it gave you a few ideas.

Have a wonderful (rest of the) Fall and a Spooky, Fun & Happy Halloween.

I hope to see you over on INSTAGRAM so we can hang out more often.

Until then…

ENJOY THE CREATIVITY!

Where did you get your leaf runner in the first photo? Also the candy corn trees?
I love ALL of your decorating!

Thanks for your nice comments Kathy! 🙂
I purchased the fall silk leaf table runner at a little family owned shop in Lake Alfred, called The Stable Home Decor (website: http://www.stablehomedecor.com/) and the candy corn trees are by a manufacturer called “Pacific Rim”. I’ve had the trees for years, so they may be hard to find, but I’ve seen a similar version in stores, including at my wholesaler (www.marges.com)
      Hope you find it all!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! I’m shying away from decorating for Halloween, but still wanted to add some fall cheer to my home. I’m so inspired by the decor in your kitchen. And although I no longer “celebrate” Halloween, your living room decor is so much fun! The white ghost pumpkin and the skeleton is the urns are super cute!
Congratulations on that F/T gig! Btw, Hallmark would be lucky to have you on their sets. It will happen for you in perfect timing!
